About Me

You can see a little of my profile on my home page, about how i got into Amateur Radio. But apart from this, i aslo enjoy writing and composing songs, although my station has taken the place of my keyboard, photography and protrait painting, if you think about it you can see my interests from my links page.  My QTH is on a bearing of 300.26 degrees and is 28.44Km from Manchester Airport. so there you have it. compass and Google Earth and you will know where my location is.

Digital Modes Interface Units

This cracking little interface is by Alan M0AQC. For details on this and more just visit

I have this connected to my FT897 and to work DM780 you will have to go into C:\Programs\HamRadioDeluxe find DM780 and make a short cut to your desk top. Then, when you have it up, go into config and tick PTT through the com port that your interface is using.  To  use HRD i think you will need a CT-62 Lead into the CAT port on the back of the radio.  But doing this I need to use two ports on your PC.
